As Head of Media & Distribution, you’ll own G2’s global distribution and fan growth strategy, turning reach into engagement and engagement into lasting fan relationships. G2 is looking for a Head of Media & Distribution (m/f/d) to join our team. This is a full time position based in Berlin or remote (EU) who will directly report to our Marketing Director.
Responsibilities:

Lead and develop G2’s global audience growth & distribution by bringing together Social Media, Paid Media, Events & Community, Creators/Talent, and CRM

Define and execute a global audience growth and engagement strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels, with a strong focus on scalable reach, retention, and fan lifetime value

Drive fan acquisition, engagement, and retention through various social platforms, creator partnerships, community initiatives, live events, and CRM

Lead G2’s creator and talent ecosystem, defining partnership strategies, activation frameworks, and long-term value creation with creators and ambassadors

Oversee paid media strategy and budget ownership, ensuring efficient spend, performance optimisation, and alignment with growth and brand objectives

Build and scale G2’s community and events strategy, translating online fandom into meaningful real-world and digital experiences

Own audience data, insights, and CRM strategy, working closely with marketing, commercial, and product teams to turn insights into action

Define KPIs and success metrics for all channels and initiatives, including growth, engagement, conversion, and retention

Stay ahead of platform, community, and creator trends within esports, gaming, and entertainment to keep G2 culturally relevant and competitively differentiated
Requirements:

6+ years of experience in leading audience growth, media, marketing, or similar roles, with proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams

Strong expertise across social platforms, paid media, creators/influencers, community building, and CRM, ideally in entertainment, sports, gaming, or consumer brands

Proven track record in building and executing multi-channel, audience-first growth strategies at scale

Deep understanding of digital culture, platforms, and fan communities, with a strong instinct for what drives engagement and emotional connection

Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into clear strategic and creative direction

Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, international environment

Native or fluent English required and any additional languages are a plus

Sports, Esports, gaming, or creator-economy experience is highly desirable, but not mandatory
