Today, we are proud to share the future direction of our CS:GO roster. After over 3 years as an entirely French-speaking team, we are refreshing our approach to the game and excited to unveil that we will be going global with our division! Moving beyond the confines of a French-speaking team, this new direction inherently creates new roster opportunities and approaches that we believe will help us achieve our competitive goals and expectations. With this in mind, we are also proud to welcome our new in-game leader, Nemanja ‘nexa’ Isaković, and rifler, Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač, to the squad.
Serbian Nemanja ‘nexa’ Isaković started playing CS:GO in 2013 and has honed his skills as a rifler and IGL in the online tournament scene. With his signature M4A4, he has clutched many tight rounds.
Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, began playing CS:GO in 2015 in online tournaments. He’s known for supporting his awper and trading out kills with the AK47 and M4A1-S. His flexible supportive play will allow us to diversify our strategies.
Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports, had this to say about the roster change:
"Make French Counter Strike Great Again"? Screw that. We will show the world, now for the second time, that an international lineup can be number one.
This move has us really fucking excited."
Nemanja ‘nexa’ Isaković said this about joining G2:
“At the Berlin Major, I knew we were ready to play against the best, I knew I could compete. Joining G2 with huNter- is a great chance to prove what we can do, so I’m hungry to play at all the events and win trophies. I am ready to put in an insane amount of hours to achieve these goals. I’ve been working towards this chance forever and can’t wait to train with G2 and show the world what we’re made of.”
Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač commented on his move to G2 by saying:
“I can’t wait to practice and play events with G2. When I started playing CS:GO, I knew that I wanted to play on a team like G2, a big team with great players. I know nexa and I can play great together, but I won’t promise we will win every event, or that I will be the best. I do promise the #G2ARMY that I will give 110% in and out of the game.”
See their debut with the team at DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019. Remember to keep up with everything going on at G2 Esports on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitch.
