We are happy to announce our new partnership with Spanish esports organization Team Heretics. As part of the long-term partnership activities for the LEC, G2 will work with Team Heretics to support a League of Legends Academy roster in Spain.
With the season fast approaching the new lineup for the Academy team will be announced soon. Team Heretics will take point in putting together the roster and G2 Esports will be providing full support for the new team. Along with this, a creative merge of the Heretics and G2 brands gives the team a unique, bold, banner to compete under. Fans will be able to see the new logo and jersey in action as the team roster is announced in the coming days.
G2 Esports CEO, Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, said of the partnership,
“Team Heretics are the perfect partner for us because of their long history in esports, their passion, and of course their Spanish roots. I’m pumped to be once again involved with Spanish League of Legends and think this is a perfect opportunity to support home-grown talent and give my home country a time to shine in the 2019 regional leagues.”
Heretics Founder and Co-Owner, Arnau Vidal, also said,
"Getting into League of Legends is a huge step for us, and doing it alongside an organization like G2 Esports is such a privilege. We are here to make a difference and we will show the community how much we care about the game, we are completely sure we are going to accomplish great things together under this new partnership."
