G2 Blacklist: The future of Southeast Asian Wild Rift

G2 Blacklist: The future of Southeast Asian Wild Rift

NA was just the beginning as we’re taking another region by storm in 2023. We are excited to enter the Southeast Asian market, with G2 Blacklist: Our brand new Wild Rift team!

In partnership with Blacklist International we aim to create the best Wild Rift team to ever hit the region and put an end to the 0-3 curses once and for all. Collaborating with the kings of mobile Esports in Southeast Asia was a no brainer for us, as we stay committed to winning and entertaining.
Operating from Manila, Philippines, G2 Blacklist will bring the essence of G2 even closer to the region’s amazing fanbase, through competition, content and more!

Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, commented:
"We’re combining the best of the East and the West to take a new Esports competition by storm. As two major winning organisations, the G2 and Blacklist partnership is one that was created with big ambitions. Blacklist is a winning team, full of successful people that have helped them dominate the mobile esports market. Asia is where Wild Rift is set to succeed and we wanted to be part of it and bring a G2 team to our fans in the region.”

Tryke Gutierrez, CEO of Tier One Entertainment, said:
“G2 Blacklist is a “1 + 2 = 4” type of partnership. Two of the most popular and competitive teams in their respective regions working together is something truly special. I think this is a game-changer not just for Wild Rift esports, but for the industry as a whole. Alongside G2, we’re looking forward to bringing the Blacklist International brand to new audiences around the world.”

To celebrate the partnership, we will be launching a limited edition art piece, created by Filipino toy designer, illustrator, and graffiti artist, Quiccs, as well as our first G2 Blacklist content piece, documenting the team’s journey to qualify for Wild Rift League Asia!
