Today, the story of our back-to-back-to-back champion, Zainab “zAAz” Turkie comes to an end.
With a competitive career spanning 17 years, Zainab has continuously proven to be one of the best FPS players to ever enter the scene, and we’d like to thank her for competing with us throughout 2021 and 20G2.
Though saying goodbye and entering retirement, her story will live on in the hearts of the entire #G2ARMY.
With her help, we’ve built a strong foundation and a legacy that will continue with the addition of Maryam “Mary” Maher, to the G2 GOZEN roster.
Making her Tier 1 debut at just 16, we have strong confidence in Maryam’s abilities to conquer the international VALORANT stage as a part of G2 GOZEN, and to contribute to the team’s unrivaled heritage, making the championships even easier to secure.
We’d like to wish zAAz all the best in her future endeavors, and proudly welcome Mary on board.
The core of the team remains unaffected. We’re excited to see the refreshed GOZEN in the next VALORANT Game Changers EMEA Series, starting September this year.
